TiSTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking to hire a Software Engineer to work in Rockville, MD.
Position Responsibilities: 
The Software Engineer will design, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. This person will also support and/or installs software applications/operating systems. He/she will also participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

  • Must have at least 5 years of Software Engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of software architecture including
  • Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented analysis and design
  • Demonstrated experience with Service Oriented Architecture
  • Expertise in Java stack such as Spring, Hibernate, JQuery.
  • Hands on experience with WebSphere application server.
  • Hands on experience with cross system interfaces such as batch processes, cron jobs, API frameworks (XML, SOAP, JSON etc.) and Web Services
  • Expertise in implementing system and application interfaces with external systems & data vendors
  • Hands on experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Hands on experience in developing canned and ad-hoc reports
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho Kettle
  • Ability to make technology and architecture decisions to meet client needs
  • Understanding of project and configuration management practices
  • Experience working with client executives, project managers, business analysts and other stakeholders to define and execute technical requirements from business requirements
  • Recognition and observance of industry-standard architectural and coding standards, an understanding of best-practices in software development, and familiarity with different SDLC processes and methodologies
  • High attention to detail and software quality
  • Working Knowledge in AWS is a plus

Required Education/ Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other IT related degree
